Thrilled to be included in this exhibition, juried by encaustic artist Kathleen Waterloo, features 48 works selected from a pool of 145 artwork submissions that include encaustic materials or techniques, either wholly or in part. Encaustic, derived from the Greek enkaustikos, meaning “to burn in” is a versatile medium traditionally made up of beeswax, damar resin, and pigment.
The Woman Made Gallery is a Chicago based non-profit gallery. Woman Made's vision is to ensure the equal placement of women's art in the art world.
