FUSEDChicago brings the art of New England Wax to Chicago

This joint presentation celebrates the national encaustic community; the bond they share as artists and their explorations of wax media.

FUSEDChicago, a group of artists working in the encaustic medium, is proud to invite New England Wax to join us at the Zhou B. Art Center for their first exhibition in Chicago. New England Wax (N.E.W.) is a lively and growing professional organization connecting artists in the six New England states who work with encaustic and other wax-based mediums.

Those who attend the show can experience the luminous quality of encaustic, a fine art medium consisting of pigmented beeswax. Many creative styles can be achieved with wax-based media and are represented in the work of these accomplished artists.

A reception will take place on November 21, the third Friday of November, when the galleries of the Zhou B. Art Center are open from 6-9 pm. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to join the artists to celebrate this exhibition.
